Neon
It’s what makes some signs glow,
It is the coolest element you know.
It’s part of the noble gasses,
And has one of the smaller masses.
To specific it is 20.18,
Having not so big a weight.
Because of the fact that it has 8 electrons,
it will never mix with the boron's.
Founded by Sir William Ramsey,
1898 was the date of his discovery.
found in london, so far far away
but it is found and it is her to stay.
this element glows bright
and shines all through the night.
you can see this element everywhere
it is even in the air.
If you don’t know what this element is,
Then you must not be a Chemistry wiz.

You’re not so bright,
hanging out in a bar
all hours of the day--
like no one has ever
thought of that before!
Like there’s something
noble in losing yourself
in glass after glass after
glass. Listen, buddy,
at least make yourself
useful: do you got a light?
And don’t tell me you’ve
got something important
to say; there’s never any-
thing new under the sun.

Neon is a noble gas,
With 20 as it’s only mass.
Discovered by Sir William Ramsay,
In 1898, in London, so far away.
The word neon comes from the Greek for new.
The melting and boiling point have a difference of 2.622.
Neon forms an unstable hydrate.
Neon glows reddish-orange, in its natural state.
Neon, as a gas, is extremely rare,
With eight valence electrons, it has none to pair.
Neon is not rare on a Vegas sign, however.
So neon, we will find, can endeavor.

Neon lights
illuminating cities of sin,
shamelessly calling out
to deviant children
of wonderfully dark indulgences.
Painting red, the faces
of Las Vegas street walkers.
Painting blue, the naked bodies
of New York's dancers.
Giving a gritty underworld
a vibrant, glamorous light
in which to thrive.
Its gentle electric hum
a breathing pulse,
festering in the midst of
concrete and steel.
A satire on organic chemistry. |

neon lights and city sidewalks
illuminating pavements
as cars go by
i walk around, as i see
a sign in front
of a store
its says "open"
in neon red and yellow
it blured my vision
which gave me a headache
than i continued to
walk on as i still
had the neon
in my vision |

The city lights are shining bright,
Crystal clear through out the night.
Can’t be missed, everyone can see.
Bright colors glow radiantly.
Welcoming you in and
Directing you out.
Telling you to go one way,
Then back the other.
Red, Orange, Pink, and Green.
Open, Closed, Enter, and Exit.
Decorating store windows,
The night lives on.

Driving down the road,
Looking back to see
The red and yellow glow.

Its not that hard to see,
Because if its red and yellow glow.
It really isn’t mined,
It’s not that hard to find
Because of its red and yellow glow.
It is very cold,
Its cheap when its sold
Because of its red and yellow glow.

de glade Neon lys
på den mørke vej
lyser den op
for jeg er sej

men neon lyset skræmmer den bort
for den er narlig

Neon lights and city sidewalks,
Concrete towers rising high.
The confusion of the traffic drains their souls
And blinds their eyes.
Neon lights and city sidewalks,
Concrete towers rising high.
The confusion of the traffic drains their souls
And blinds their eyes.
Silently He paints the sky
With a brush of crimson gold.
And the sky turns dark and cold.
Then He fills the night with jewels,
Shining stars like diamonds rare.

The neon floods
my drunken eyes
as I stumble from drink to drink
and though it hurts
I am surprised
to hear what others
think.
The show they say
was lovely tonight
and laugh with gaudy
inflection
so old, they may
just pass me by
the one who needs
affection.
the neon leaks
into my clothes
sopping with
'I don't remembers'
42nd street peeks
hangs so low
a mother, soft and
tender. |

Neon
Flickering
Flickering lamp.
Glowing through dark dark night into my motel room window.
I often want to break every neon sign I see.
Then light up the sky with the words my loved one spoke to me
the day she left.
"'Fix the neon lamp George' I said, 'or I'll leave you." |

for a "noble gas"
you sure got the common touch
why i saw you just last night
at the local barandgrill
you was all pink and buzzy
just like me |

Neon
You glow.
So unreactive, and yet you shimmer.
Why can't I make you do something, just get up
and do anything,
But you just sit and glimmer.
Neon, lighting up life.
Come on, girl, you shine
electric.
But Neon, so unreactive.
Why can't we do something? |

Neon
the sign hangs crooked
in front of the gas station
electric pink and blue
it says "open" and "welcome"
but I can't tell
the tears that stain my face
blur my vision
my body shakes
and the sign glows brighter
pink and blue swirls before my eyes
and drops with the tears
into my lap |
