Astatine

It's hard to get back up
each time you fall.
It's hard to gain everything
when you lose it all.

You want that one
your only
your soulmate
Your astatine
your saving light.
By Stephanie

Back in1940 when jokes were corny and kids stayed in and played D.R. Corson discovered something new today and it was in my native country California, U.S.A., Corson chilled with vatos but this element came from astatos but that ain't all i got to say it means unstable dis ain't no fable i'm being real to you dis aint no fake it ain't no jive I ain't making a scene i'm talking about astatine.
By J.S.

Astatine

The dream of rocks is nothingness,
and I believe Aristotle.
I, unstable and halogen-eyed
stare up, when we kiss.
You leave metallic blood flavor in mouth
I will burst soon my life too short for constancy.
Examine, discover, and unearth my astatos.

ASTATINE

Atomic Number: 85, In nature you'll not find it,
its Isotopes are so short-lived
no normal pow'r can bind it.
Bombarding this with frozen that,
And slowly, one by one,
its atoms fleetingly appear, and QUICK! before they're gone -
a final blast of something hot,
and if it is to linger, it has to be collected on what's called: "A Cold Glass Finger!"
Then in a moment more before the scientist can 'fridge it,
It's gone! - well, wouldn't you escape that horrid frigid digit?
