Copper

When I think of Copper
Money comes to mind
I think of Abe Lincoln shining heads up on the ground
If you see him on the floor
You pick it up and will get good luck
When I think of Copper
I think that it's more then just an element
It's also used as a name
I think of my dog running up to me when I walk through the door
I think of his dirty paws jumping up on me to say hello
When I think of Copper
I think of the shiny counter at work that I am forced to polish once a week
When I think of Copper

Copper

Copper, copper
It’s a reddish colored metal
With a fine shine like a kettle
Its very conductive
Which makes it very productive
Its used by all
In the Minneapolis City Hall
This building is very tall
Copper was discovered long ago
When life was very slow
But now its used in forks and knives
It only simplifies our lives
Without copper
Our lives would not be very proper
By Rushi Patel

Its in pennies, nickels, and dimes
why you got to copy of these rhymes.
Its a bronze you will surely see
to meet with it will be.
By Jermaine Chase

Copper oh Copper

How your name is so proper

Yet you are so malleable

You were discovered by the ancients and the unknowns

But you can’t be seen by Nome’s

Your true place belongs in history

For ever creating another mystery

In this wonderful world of chemistry

Copper is found on some choppers

To stop the blockers in the sky

Which makes it so fly

In everyone’s eye that copper is

The one that makes pennies and

Abe Lincoln Fun!

copper,with your conductivity,
you turn my computer on,
but you don't turn me on because i'm not that dumb,
you can be formed into a pipe the size of my thumb,
i'll extract you from your ore,
because i'll always need more,
wether you're wire or jewels,
or even a tool,
used thousands of years ago,
you were one of the metals to first be used,
and now your resources are being abused,
but in the near future you'll be in more demand,
because your wish is my command.

I LOVE YOU COPPER

COPPER

Copper lines the streets of power.
Currents rage below the earth.
Dead yet so alive with well wishes
Faithful servant of beautiful hue
Maleable and pleasant to the mans wishes.

COPPER LADY

Black and shining gloss to the touch of a hand
So very happy in my home you did land
Each morning I smiled to that twinkle in your eye
Such pure joy to have in my nigh

>From a bygone era you do belong
Filling the air with your velvety song
Silently strumming on your violin
Melodious melodies straight from within

My timeless friend so solid to the core
To be gazed at by many for ever more
Such joyous beauty in your naked form
Another place you now rightfully adorn

Your true place belongs in history
For ever creating another mystery
As people walk past, turn back and stare
My copper friend, a beauty so rare

You will now survive the test of time
Be admired by many as they stand in line
Protected for ever in see-thru glass
Now to be gazed at by people en-masse

Happy among friends from another age
All lovingly tended at every stage
Smiling out from your gilded frame
Not alone beauty but also fame
By Cora Gates

Copper Sandwich

Is it going to make me sick?
Deep-kissing metal at extra-low voltage.
Electronic dance on my tongue induces
distillation of emotional juices
hardwire connecting from my brain to mouth,
propelled from the bellows of my soul.
Sonic sandwich of roaring copper reeds
dinner to the harmonica player.
