The Game Of Guns
Yesterday, I picked up the empty gun and I aimed it at her. I pulled
the trigger. "Bang", I shouted.
"You're dead."
She fell down. Five seconds passed and she got back up and we laughed.
I won.
Today, I pick up the gun and aim it at her. I pull the trigger. "Bang",
I shout. "You're dead." Five
seconds pass. Ten seconds pass. A million seconds pass, and she doesnt
get up. Surrounded by nothing,I
am left, naked and alone. I lost.
Dreams of Long ago
Dreaming of it, I'm still there.
I'm still there, touching, smelling, feeling it.
I'm still there feeling it.
It's never lost, never gone, I'm never gone, you're never gone,
When I'm dreaming of it.
Drowned in the Sound
Drowned in the sound of silence,
Drowned in the sound of tears,
Drowned in the sound of total madness,
And I'm drowned in the sound of fears,
Drowned in complete pity for others,
I drowned and died that night,
But as soon as I fell in the sound of her love,
I quickly regained my life

Biographical sketch: I'm a 9th grader. I like art, poetry and
music. My favorite poets are E.A.Poe and Emily Bronte and, of course,
all song writers
Heather recommends:
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor
Hanson, and Kimberly Kirberger
Reason: I'm a teenager, so of course I'm going to like this
collection of not only poems, but touching stories, by a wide variety
of authors, including young authors.
Recommendations for writers:
I'm against thinking while writing. I think the best way to do
it is write. Just write what you feel. And if you like the idea of it,
go back whenever you want to and edit it, put it into poetry form, please
yourself with it and don't worry about the critics.
