As Tired As Fingers
wool-wrapped and swollen
that must snap
smartly, like a mousetrap,
I drop my sounder line, reaching
water hundreds of feet
below mine.
I don't doubt the little mice
have crawled into this well
to rest, to warm up;
some have doubtless fallen
down, slipping on a stroke
of time.

Is this about being in the wrong place at the wrong time OR that accidents befall us all both good and bad ? Not to sure what to make of it but I like the symbolism. Thanks for sharing

To be honest, I'm not sure what to make of it either. It's just what my mind came up with for napo yesterday. Thanks for commenting, BTW.
