Of Masks and Tears
I read
I bleed
I do what's asked
I sleep
I weep
I wear a mask
You cannot see
What's on my mind
Eyes open wide
And yet so blind
I race
You chase
You get a thrill
I cry
You sigh
And know nothing still
You do not care
Just how I feel
Exposed am I
Yet you conceal
I call
I bawl
I wonder why
You yell
You dwell
You do not try
But now you're gone
And I am whole
My broken mask
Now shows my soul.

fascinating read
Interesting structure, yet, it worked for me.
Another good emotive poem.
