To warn us what there is in store
What happens if there is no more,
If the world should end tonight?
If tomorrow shall not come
My favorite song till then I'll hum
To turn my fearful heart quite numb
If the world should end tonight.
The only one who could defeat
My fears, your arms my last retreat
Together, then, our hearts shall beat
If the world should end tonight.
I wish the end would come so swift
Into a slumber we shall drift
No time to know our worldly rift
If the world should end tonight.
The last thing that I want to feel
Is your lips on mine so real
It matters not if my breath you steal
If the world should end tonight.
Be my savior, be my world
The end of time has now unfurled
This is the end of this boy and girl
If the world should end tonight.
I know better than to fight with time
So take my hand, with yours in mine
We'll face the end, now, in our prime

The oars are gone, we cannot row

Facinating read
It flows really well. Almost a musical rhythm to it. The last stanza has great impact - that of undying love. Another good one.
