Of Masks and Tears

I read
I bleed
I do what's asked
I sleep
I weep
I wear a mask

You cannot see
What's on my mind
Eyes open wide
And yet so blind

I race
You chase
You get a thrill
I cry
You sigh

I Felt Beauty

Blazing spheres of buring fire
So far away they posess the power to grant human wishes,
Joined by speckled collections of visible precipitation
Strewn across a brilliantly decaying atmosphere,

Existence of the Perfect Dream

All I can ask for is love
The perfect dream
To feel the gentle lips of another
To feel so much it hurts inside

Love is too difficult to capture, it seems
And though some wish for me

My Dear, Sweet, Old Friend

I miss you so much,
My dear, sweet, old friend.
Distance is long
But time has no end

You once made me smile
I'll never forget
Your priceless kind words,
I'm much in your debt

Tomorrow

Gentle leaf in the wind
Take me to tomorrow
So I don't enter alone

Incomplete

Whistle vaguely to recieve an echo
Know of much, but know so little
Dream so large, you cannot fill them
Empty space in memories.

Incomplete within my soul
Unsure of what I've lost forever

Time: A Series of Haikus

Dreams in my mind
Never see the light of day
Time moves much too fast.

Every time I try
To wake up to tomorrow
Night will fall on me.

The ache of seeing
Life move by without consent

If the World Should End Tonight

Quoth the raven "Never more"
To warn us what there is in store
What happens if there is no more,
If the world should end tonight?

If tomorrow shall not come

New Snow

Breathing in the cold
Hairs standing tall on my skin
Greeting the new snow

One Tear

The course of blood inside my viens
Is just enough to keep me sane
In the event my life shall fade
At least I know my part's been played.

Life's a stage, I know it's true

The Mortality of Day

Listen to the sound of the dawn
When the dawn is gone, what will you hear?
Look out at the dark of the night
When the night is light, what will you see?

Lock and Key

In the dim glow of a candle
I discovered an unused key
The lock I've owned for years and years
Guarded by my own decree

I barely glanced upon the silver
Yet my heart was filled with joy

I am a Poet

I cast my stone
Into the relm of metaphors and the like
To reach for something unkown and mysterious
To tap into the powers of a force
No human can control

Only Imagine

The bright, sparkling ocean,
Which I have never seen
Is like a memory of what never was,
But plays on still in my mind.
I can imagine the feel of sand between my toes

Song

My lyrics have been stolen.
I want to sing the song,
But the lyrics are dry on my lips.
I want to feel the tune,
Vibrating within my chest--
A force of power moving through my soul
