Mystical Tree. Sonnet
Oh Mystical tree what secret do you hold
In the depth, of your ancient withered girth,
What aroma`s you may store within your fold,
Of sweet sandal wood, frankincense, and myrrh,
Wild creatures peer thro`your veils of moss.
Hidden away from predators on the prowl,
As shadows grow longer.and sunlight is lost ,
The moon shines it`s magic, through the wood,
Painting your dampened leaves to a shiny gloss
As blankets of mist, spread in a mystical mood
An owls hoot echo`s, from an old gnarled branch
Fireflys lights dance, in and out of the hollow,
Oh Ancient tree, now secrets of nature enhance,
A beauty within, for now, will be hard to follow.
