watching you sleep
wow...
it's so unusual
to see a warm body
a living and breathing man
lying in bed next to me
on this fine morning
well...you are alive
but you're fast asleep
i don't know how you could sleep
after all the excitement
the thrills
the absolute bliss
that was last night
my heart is still racing
but there you are...
snoring...
but just the tiniest hum
no blaring foghorns
or anything quite
so obnoxious
just a very sexy purr
and that wavy
dark brown hair of yours
it still looks
just so spectacularly sexy
ever after you've
slept on it all night
and the nose
i like a man with a big nose
and those lips
those sweet
soft tender lips
i could touch them
against mine forever
and now quietly
very quietly
i'm going to run my fingers
across that beautiful
brown hair
on your massive chest
and that tan
that impossibly glistening
robust bronze body
i feel the heat
rising up from you
and it's getting me hot
it really is
i have goose bumps
i could see you and me, babe
in forever
i really could
a nice house in the suburbs
maybe a couple of
big and beautiful
chocolate brown labs
a light blue house maybe
all warm and breezy
with a beautifully
meticulouslly landscaped
front lawn
with little statues
of angels
and faeries
and gnomes
a few gnomes
and the inside would be immaculate
with high ceilings in every room
and the most ornate
silver ceiling fans that money can buy
because we would be rich
and so in love
and we'd have a huge and sturdy
king-sized bed
that we would fall into each other's
arms in...embracing...kissing...
making warm sweet and passionate love
the kind you only really read about
but now it is real...
because here you are...
oh look! you're opening your eyes
and they're looking right at me
in all their sexy dark brown splendor
and you speak
"where's my pants?" you say
and i lovingly hand them to you
and you get out of bed
give me a peck on the forehead
and say "that was great...
i'll call you"
and you bolt out the door
along with all my fantasies
and my wildest dreams
and there i am
sitting on the edge of the bed
and i fall backwards
and i smell you in the sheets still
such a wonderfully sweet
and yet compelling scent
and i sigh a little
and i look up at the ceiling
and i sigh again...
and i sing
in my best snow white voice
"some day my prince will come...
some day my prince will come..."
or at least a dwarf...
can't i at least have that???

Mark, forget a dwarf, you deserve a prince, a pefect handsome prince all the way! this is so sweet but sad, like reality never living up to our dreams-one I think everyone can relate to :D ♥
~Love is Not Lost~
Mark,
You love deeply. You love tenderly. You are so loving. This poem was your heart. You have a beautiful heart.
Love is not lost, it is waiting for you in another heart...can you hear it singing? Turn the page my dear friend, the story is not over.
Warm regards,
xo
Kathy
You're so sweet...
and my heart always sings rather loudly and slightly off key. Maybe I can attract a moose.
Seriously...thanks you for your kindness and for reading this poem!
Take care,
Mark
I know I can relate to it...
Thanks for the comment!
Take care,
Mark
~Hey, What's Wrong With a Moose?~
I think a moose is a beautiful beast.
Warm regards,
Kathy
Oh...me too...
They're one of my favorites. I've written a couple of poems on here about them and I'm sure I'll write more. I just don't know if I'd want to be in a relationship with a moose. They might hog all the covers!
Take care,
Mark
