smolder
feel your heat rise
high up to the sky
as your glow
it ignites me
with a passion
at once aflame and
yet so focused
a desire from
way deep down
to set my life on fire
feel the heat in my heart
rise to the surface
with the intensity
of a hundred suns
wildly madly dancing
flitting about
there's a freedom
in the flames
the smoke
the heat
not easily diffused
nor easy to control
but oh so intense

i light a single candle
and immerse myself
in the fire.
