say hello to my new kazoo!
i blow and blow yes
till my face is all blue
squeaking and squawking
on my new kazoo!
so shiny and red
with some blue and black
with matching helmet
in case of attack!
play on the sidewalk
a medley of tunes
then duck and cover
from rocks and balloons
tomatoes, onions
parsnips don't you know?
could make a salad
with things that they throw!
but i heed them not
i skip down the street
quacking my kazoo
padding head to feet!
play an old show tune
for granny mcgrump
she claims she'll kill me
my body she'll dump
down in the river
in big cement shoes
i'll change my tune then
be playing the blues!
play for the mailman
hits me with his sack
i kick his fat butt
a way to get back!
he chases me down
the street and them some
i blow a loud shriek
for help...i ain't dumb!
then round the corner
a pack of mad mutts
come barking boldly
full of doggie guts!
they see the mailman
and tear off his pants
he blushes beet red
does a retreat dance!
i watch him run yes
pink undies and all
letters all flying
like leaves in the fall!
i take my kazoo
press it to my lips
blow out a ditty
and swivel my hips!
i skip and i hop
on my merry way
lived to play kazoo
yet another day!
and...
i blow and blow yes
till my face is all blue
squeaking and squawking
on my new kazoo!

Bravo!
I play the blessed instrument myself, although I've never had the unfortunate predicament of having to dodge veggies whilst playing, and I have played it on stage at a festival. Well enjoyed the read. The kazoo is a well underrated instrument, always wanted to start a kazoo orchestra, the offer is open if you so desire my good fellow!
Thanks for wonderful words once more,
Kris
you know...it's funny...i don't have a kazoo
I have all kinds of other instruments...a harmonica, keyboard, maracas, flutes, finger cymbals, a whole batallion of drums. I need to get a kazoo!
Perhaps I can play drums in your kazoo orchestra.
Thanks for the compliment. Glad you enjoyed it. And I, for one, like the sound of a kazoo!
Take care,
Mark
They do
sound cool, kinda like a fisher price sax. Go get a kazoo, I have 2 perhaps I could mail you one! Haha!
Kris
You're
also very welcome to drum in my kazoo orchestra, am sure we'll need a beat! Just need to find a whole host of other kazoo fiends, then we'll be cookin'. Until that time . . .

I wondered what that noise was....

I have one. Wanna join the band?
Thanks for commenting!

Mark
i can play the national anthem on the kazoo
We really should start a band or an orchestra as Hector suggested!
Hey...I'm there...let's do it!
But what should we call ourselves?
Thanks for the comment!
Take care,
Mark
good question
Perhaps "Poets Making Annoying Sounds?" Sounds like a cool band name to me...
marvelous...
quite marvelous!
damn...
so nice I accidentally posted it twice!
