with your red plastic hair
piled up so high in that beehive
methinks perhaps you went
a little heavy on the lipstick today
but hey...what do I know?

mr. light blue?
wearing that sporty gold t-shirt
and matching ball cap
your mouth wide open
like you're getting ready to
sing us all a song...

perhaps a little tune
about all the happy times we have
sitting here soaking in
this big ole white tub
with bubbles coming
way up to our ears!
but this is the life, ain't it?

i know miss purple enjoys it
wearing her fancy sunday bonnet
and a nice blue dress
and a string of brilliant white pearls
always so prim and proper, aren't we?
but hey...you know
somebody here has to
set a good example...

and have a gander at clever mr. green
he plays us a happy tune
when he hits the water
and he lights up and he flashes
so many trippy colors!
he's like a floating disco...
and he's got such bushy hair!

and look...it's miss tan
with her long graceful neck
and deep blue eyeshadow
she even wears that cute little
gold crown on her head
in case anyone here
would have any doubt
that she was queen
shall i curtsy to her highness?

and look...down there playing with my toes
there's little mr. orange...
he actually quacks when he hits the water
and he's wearing such a nice little beanie
that so matches his suspenders
here...let me kick him around a bit...
see how he handles
rough and choppy waters!
"help me! help me!"

boy...would you look
at my fingers...all shriveled up
like an old man or something
soapy bubbles really age you i guess!
but that's okay...
cause i'll be a happy old coot
singing and laughing and playing here
with all my little duckie pals!
i even brought along my little plastic recorder
to play along to their merry tune
it's party time in bubble land, folks!
grab yourself some soap!

but, alas, now the party is over
as i pull out the plug
and watch all the water
slowly go down the drain
and all my duckies
are swimming around in circles
as if their little duckie world
is coming to an end
but it's not!

and i stand up
and i line them all up
on the side of the tub
as i dry myself off and wave goodbye
a naked little prune
and i lift my hands up in the air
and i shout
"until tomorrow, my friends!"
and i toot my recorder
and i march out of my little bathroom
back into something that
vaguely resembles
some kind of life
and all through the day
and all through the night
i wait with eager anticipation
for my next underwater...

extravaganza!
