Our Beginning

Nearly a year has passed, since we first did meet
At the Spinnaker tower on team day feat
Our chat you say, you still can’t remember
But I know, I felt such feelings of splendor
Your smile warmed my heart I’ll always remember.

A week then past, until again we met
When I took your picture and our status was set
No joking around my intentions were true
My minds overcome with thoughts of just you.

We sat on the phone and text we exchanged
My living in Leeds was really a shame
I travelled to and throw just be with you!
When it came to leaving I was lost what to do.

You stole my heart in so many ways.
And each day with you was never grey
I longed for the moments to be in your arms
And soak in the splendor of all your charms.

I was banished to Scotland with work for a week
There was nothing less funny my heart skipping beats
But the length of the country never stopped me you know
When I sped back to Guildford and I didn’t drive slow
With thoughts just of you honey, I kept my head low.

Good time’s we’ve have had and abroad twice we’ve been
Where we soaked up the sun and cooled with ice-cream.
Touring through Spain we saw all the sights.
And lounged in the bars right through to late nights.

When hols were all over we planned straight ahead
Our first Christmas together to be the best time yet
The festive spirit livened our hearts
The magic of Christmas shared, with no time apart
Our first Christmas together honey we’ll never forget
For me, it was my best Christmas yet.

Well what I’m trying to say whilst at work today
I’ve had a great year and I’m here to stay
I’m so glad you’re my Honey bun and with me today
May each year we share be great in every kind of way?
