Puzzle Pieces

No one ever wants to be ignored,
To not feel unwanted,
to feel worthless.
Being alone,
night after night.

You call those ones you thought
were your friends,
But no answer.
staring at the phone,
Waiting for it to jump,
to shout your name.
Feeling like you
don't exist.

You talk to those "friends",
But more important things talk loader.
You take their word,
And watch it shatter
into a million puzzle pieces.
Shattered throughout your trust.

Hanging by threads,
Your hands and feet.
Your friends hold them tight.
Thinking you should tell them
they're holding to tight.
Because how can they know,
if you don't tell them?
