All This Time
All this time, I could
Watch you play with me,
You only spoke truth
In the face of dryness,
What you always did was
Tricking me while fermented…
I always believed in you,
Always watched a dim light in us,
Until the door at the end of the tunnel
Got burned down,
Until the door was shut
And the key went missed.
You moved me to the left,
Pushed me to your right
And shoved the hope down my
Umbilical path.
Fetus-like and screaming,
You peeled my love out,
And torched me in the night.
One string at a time,
You tossed me to your side,
Until I glanced at you,
Or had freedom of sight
So you could cut every string,
Untie every noose
And made me motionless,
Helpless and semi-divine…
All this time you waited
For me to cry,
To beg and lie
For a truth always denied.
You were gonna play,
And with my flesh a real
Household create for me to take-
The idolatry, the lies,
Your pictures and your tears
Of eternal compromise,
And all together torch me in the night,
With you burning in my mind…
The endless games,
The burning flesh,
The intrinsic blood-strings,
The unbreakable fence
Of lies, games and tears
Of eternal compromise,
All this time you played
Just waiting when was my time to shine...

I Liked What You Had To Say Here
And the way the verse was put together. The ending line was so powerful, yet sad.
