I AM MAN

I AM MAN

I hold her sweetness in my arms,
her smile in my mind.
I brush against her cheek,
I hold her beauty,
And her breath
In my life.

I daily wonder what she is doing,
what she is thinking,
what she is becoming…
I wonder about
her love for me.

I know what brings her joy…what brings her light,
Warm hugs, pleasing words, small gifts, kind gestures.
I know I bring security into her world.
I know she embraces my strength.
I know my love is her power.

I know what things frighten her…what brings darkness into her world,
Attacking words, pushing her aside,
both in my thoughts and in my actions,
valuing my time, my work,
my money,
above her.

Placing things of this world,
Placing my thoughts of the world,
Above and before her.

Every beautiful creation needs thoughtful care,
Needs sun and attention, water with love,
nutrients as strength, a strong place to grow,
Security.
My rose is as beautiful and healthy
as the care I give her
I know that holding onto her is not difficult
not difficult when I know,
I am her strength, her support,
her wisdom and her heart.

When I know I hold her power in my hands.

I will not lose her as long
as I see her as myself.

I will not lose her as long as
I love her as myself.

I will not lose her unless
I lose myself.

Unless I let go of caring
for myself.

I will lose a part of myself, my softness, my heart, (her)
Only if I prove through my thoughts
that there is more of my strength,
more of my love,
more of my power,
more of my security,
outside of myself,
than there is remaining,
within myself.

But that would be proving a lie,
believing a lie,
and how could any part of myself,
Hold on to a lie?

No man is more man than another.
God’s power is in all men,
Not in one more than another.
My unbelief in myself will confuse
A part of myself, will confuse her.
My thought will begin her search.

If the day should come, when I have lied to myself,
Than losing her will feel like losing myself.
There will be no doubt
In that moment,
That we were one.

I have the power to hold onto myself,
To love myself,
To bring a woman,
Into my heart,
As myself,
To become one.

I have the power,
To feel as one,
To love as one,
To be one.

She will know she is a part of me
when I hold onto her
with the strength of my life!

She will know we are one
when I care for her,
with the tenderness
of my innocent youth.

As she feels she is part of me,
she will never leave,
because she will never leave
herself.

I Am Man.

I have the power
to show her, to hold her,
in my life, through my life,
with my thoughts,
that she is my love,
proving we are one.

As one, we cannot separate.
As one, we cannot leave our true self.
As one, our thoughts are one.

As one,
my power is her power,
But I must lead,
Because
God first gave me the power,
His power.
I am Man.
