PEER

Peer out of your window
Upon the world outside
Surely there is someone near
In whom you can confide
A friend who will not judge you
When you dissolve in tears

IMPOTENCE

You give us gifts that we can use
To reach the lost and good
If we use them, with Your help
We'll set alight the wood
That's dampened by the apathy

SHELF

Do you aspire to be the one
Who can't get off your shelf
Have you reached your sell by date
Content to be yourself
Do you feel there's something more

IGNORANCE

I've been a Christian many years
And always said my prayers
I know that I've asked Jesus in
And given Him my cares
I'm going by the things I love

WORSHIP

What's our weekly purpose
In coming to this place
Is it out of duty
Or here to seek His face
Is this a museum
Where history lives on

PRESENCE

Despite the eyes I use to see
The feelings that I feel
I know that deep within my heart
Your presence is so real
For You are working ceaselessly

I AM

I am what I am, I am agreed
A prefab full of bits
Not necessarily in the right order
An airfix kind of kit

IS

Is my life a better one
When I am in control
Calling You as substitute
When all around me falls
Am I very ignorant

TRAIN

In platform one there stands a train
It calls at every station
Takes it's time along the track
Enjoying it's duration
The driver is an expert
He's taken years to learn

HOW

How can I tell You how good I feel
Knowing that my walk with You is real
No longer having to strive and strain
I can relax in Your cleansing rain

FLEECE

I lay my life out as a fleece
To catch Your precious dew
And let it soak into the parts
That are devoid of You
For I am still so insular
An island out to sea

FED UP

I'm fed up with the compromise
I always have to make
To be my cheery,Christian self
When everybody takes
Advantage of my docile self
As I fall into line

EMPOWER ME

Empower me Lord, to do the things
That You want me to do
Provide for me the vision, Lord
That has been birthed in You
For only something in Your will

DOOR

When you asked The Lord to stay
You left Him in the hall
And got on with your busy life
Not bothering Him at all
Then suddenly you opened up

HALLWAY

He sits in the hallway, a vigil to keep
Waits for a call, but there's never a peep
Nothing is moving, not even a mouse
Why was He invited, into this house
