ORPHAN
I used to be an orphan
But now I've got a Dad
He gives me everything I need
That I have never had
He smothers me with kisses
And tells me that I'm great
I'll do most anything for Him
Cos He's my bestest mate.
My earthly father didn't know
What love was meant to be
His upbringing was rather harsh
Which passed on down to me
The line was cut when I became
A Christian through and through
So now my family have a life
It's all because of You.

nice write verseode....
I think this was a nice way of showing appreciation and love for you Lord, however, I dunno about comparing God to a man.....it seems wrong but your write was still pleasant to read mainly because like I said, your appreciation of God here shines through, peace.
Orphan
Hi,thanks for the comment,I was just saying that because of my own fathers inability to show me the love that God has,I was a kind of orphan until I became a Christian. It also stopped my line from Adam and it saved my marriage and gave my family a more loving future.Hope this helps to explain the poem.God Bless,Mike.
yeah.....thats really great Verseode....
But no man can show you equal love to God, but I get it, what you missed out on, you gained more through God and it filled a space in your soul that your dad could never fill and because of his neglect of your feeling and love, you found God......Islam has a 'hadith' (authentic recorded islamic avent) that the prophet
muhammed (pbuh) was conversing with his companions and they feared Allah excessively, he told them to look at a woman who was just then hugging her child with love and such care, he asked them, did they think she would every show her child injustice or if they doubted her mercy towards her child, they said, ofcourse not, she is it's mother and she could never show it cruelty or harm, he (pbuh), said in return, Allah(as in God) has more mercy on his creation than this woman has to her child, and while this woman may not always know exactly whats best for her child (spoiling it or making bad choices unknowingly), Allah does know whats best for his creation, and those who believe, like you and I, are guaranteed to feel this mercy and appreciate it........peace my friend.
This is a piece i could so
This is a piece i could so easily understand...very well written
RE: ORPHAN
An enjoyable and delightful piece; one can't go wrong be a member of the "heavenly family"; nice done. --Joe B.
Since you're no longer an orphan, perhaps a slight title change is in order, such as "A Former Orphan" or similar expression.
Logic, when applied to people, fails miserably. --Joseph J. Breunig 3rd
