Charity not needed

I was alone one evening
And feeling kind of lonely
I decided to treat myself
And please myself wholly.

I had really not done this
In a little while
Done something for someone
And make the person smile.

So I dropped a penny
In the beggar’s bowl
It hit the hard bottom
Right inside his soul.

Next I went to help a blind
Who could not cross the road
When I held her hand to help
I could feel her load.

Then I went inside an
Old couple’s house
Their love reminded me instead
Of my missing spouse.

In the end I went to the
Orphan children’s school
They had enough to eat and drink
Oh I was such a fool.

I thought I want to be
God or something same
I was just a meager dot
In god’s planned out game.
