Stop!
When your feet are worn out
And you don’t know
Where else to go.
Cuffed in the very middle,
You seem all confused and low.
Looking at that farthest north.
To search for the rising east.
Yelling out to the west,
To hear the call of a southern feast.
Just learn to stop treading,
And lose the map in your head.
Hear your heart speaking, and realize-
Where you have been lead.
Celebrate!
For your ‘here and now’
Is always forward bound.
And that is where
Your life and feet are
Meant to be found.

To Just Let Go
The tone and you strike here seems similar to my poem The Tide. It is hard sometimes when you want something to turn out differently, or feel you are trapped in a situation to just let go, to stop trying to control everything. I think even when life is hard there is a lesson in it for us, room to grow and become a stronger person. You display that sentiment very well in this poem. You are very honest with yourself and your emotions which shows through in your work.

To be compared
to your work is such a compliment...
Just wanted something 'positive' for a change...
Thanks so much Jill!
