Littered Glitters
We rise above the silver line
Hymning our sparkling tune
Peaking amidst the cloudy night
Beneath the beaming moon
Littered glitters are all we are
Sewn in the evening screen
Dancing, twirling to formation
With our choreographed routine
Way up here, we see the sun
Sleeping fast and sound
As we blanket, its deep slumber
We tiptoe round and round
Its rested bonfire, wheezing still
Warms our pointed ends
Surging us all to shed more shine
To where the brightness bends

I wonder which constellation you were, when you wrote this...
Nightsky magic!
I like it!
Claire
Dearest Claire,
Hmmm...
It was actually right beside the constellation you were on. :)
Glad you read and enjoyed my poem!
Thanks,
Eric
Very Well Written Piece!!
I found this one to be very well written, and highly atmospheric!! I, indeed, dig the subject matter, and your profoundly clever approach. (Also, nice flow and rhyming structure/technique.) Keep up the fine work!!
Thank you Rex
for the comments! I really appreciate them...
All the best,
Eric
To Paint With Words
Love the style of this poem, wonderful imagery. You paint a wonderful picture with your words, and yet it is deeper than that. We each have our own light to lend to the constellation.
Jill
Thanks!!!
I love how you interpreted this piece...
I never realized it has a deeper meaning
until I read your comment...
I thank you for that!
Eric
