I'm In Love With A Mutant
How does she just stun me
with those almond eyes
Rise from the ashes.
Send me telepathic kisses,
In a silent, yet, potent way?
Is she, Jean Gray?
How could she just surge her
Way to my heart with her paralyzing
Touch, electrifying my bare soul.
And have me harnessed by her drogue?
My breathtaking, Rogue.
How does she just sweep me off my feet?
With the wind in her hair?
She rages her tornado,
In this earth we’re taking form.
Fly me away, sweet Storm.
How does she do it? Gravity pulls
Me towards her. Bending my metal shield.
A magnetic girl with
a polarizing force.
Magneto’s powers, dulls compare to hers.
Why is it that everything she touches,
From static to kinetic?
Like my jaded heart, igniting,
By the warmth she emits
She is like Gambit!
How could she send me fireworks?
By her kisses, colors,
expressions and explosions.
Fiery red, Bluest blue, green and pink I see.
She drives me silly, like Jubilee.
How do I hurt her adamantium heart?
And, how does she instinctively heal?
Compassionate arms I trust.
Clawing their way back to the scene.
Like the mighty Wolverine.
She is one of a kind. A rare latex find.
Her abilities, beyond, what evolution can define.
My life and this mortal universe… she enchants.
I think, I am falling in love with a mutant.

X-men tribute
This was a lot of fun to read. Equating xmen characters with love of your intended. Thanks for posting. raskin
Thanks raskin
for reading my poem. I never intended to go with the Xmen theme, at first. It just rolled out that way as I was writing it. I guess its my humble salute to those guys clad in yellow latex suit. I am happy you enjoyed it...
