Better Best Man

Better be blind for a bit,
Eat my pride and not flee.
Better burn, waiting down this aisle,
And, play my bitter part, convincingly.

I bet, all will be better once
You arrive, my darling beauty.
Too bad, you chose this beast,
And not the best, to marry.

Your beau’s bestest best friend,
not a better half.
Guess, that’s all that I can be
I better brave on and put a smile,
Act sane and not feel sorry.

I bet, reception will feel much
Like my best ever pity party.
But till then,
I better be a better best man,
That what these bridesmaids see.
