Its not that I've not lived long enough to enjoy love,
more so,
I may have not loved enough to truly enjoy living.

How can success be measured in a man
By the net worth of his fortune ?
By the possessions he displays ?
By the vastness of the land he owns or
by the notoriety he's achieved thru great deeds,

A comet brightly shines, a trail thru the night
his moment of final glory, a sudden burst of light
He once had course and purpose, a map to all it seems

They love me ..they love me not
the words they do rebound
picking petals from a flower
dropping to the ground

Counted oh so carefully
the petals 'fore they're picked

When will this void of darkness, give way to beauty light
as the dawning of the sun, pushes back the black of night
to the yearning of the souls, that have gone and yet to go
for the longing, with no purpose ..... the sunlight be thy foe

The dawning spreads out o'er them, as a blanket of pure white

From where we came of who's to blame
What matters not, who lost .... who gained
too many things were said and done
it matters not who really won
it's not what others think is true,

The world I see appears to be, a multi cornered place
with many a different people and many a different face
I wish I knew the words ..... thus so I could describe
of this little corner and this mind I choose to hide

A poem or a song contain words we all know......
but the order is which they are placed
is what makes us laugh or cry.....
remember or forget .....
dream or face reality.

If you could live your life again, would you build something to last
or maybe take that bridge too far, and try change the past
Those hurtful words you might have said, to loved ones thru the years
you'd like to say I'm sorry and wipe away their tears

To a bright shinning sun, I woke up today
give me a good one, to God I did pray
Another beginning, a totally new dance
almost like having, another new chance

To start life all over, all things now seem new
I climb out of bed, this new world to view
I walk down the stairs, my heart seems so light
outside to my world, My future so bright

No greater gift that i can see
this gift of love you've given me
In so short time we've savored much
a kiss .....a tear ..... a loving touch
A smile to bring the light of day

Star light star bright...... the only star i see tonight

She shines thru my window and rests on my bed
her tresses cascading so soft by my head
She's wished on and thought of ...alone she may seem
each nite in my bed ....with me in my dreams

I see the field where life does grow
in patches green from down below
where now we walk thru seeds once sown
a time of new beginning

We look not back from whence we came

Two speaking in cadence..... words of one mind
like dreams lost as driftwood in the vast sea of time
Life as a mirage where nothing will last
remembered past conquests forgotten too fast

She's not your average woman, a beauty to behold
a soul of finest silver, her heart of purest gold
She seems to seek the things in life, that money cannot buy
the joy of being with someone who'd never make her cry
Caring, loving arms to hold her long into the night
