BELIEVING IN NOTHING
Reality is the romance...
Catch the beauty of the present.
Cold and damp, deep dark well of memories
Is all that my mind has to offer.
But my eyes open out
Into new surprises.
I feared forgetting the past:
Hoarded the dead hours of existence
Till the stanching rot became unbearable.
Treasured moments are like digested morsels:
Each bite is forgotten as I ask for more.
My fantasy is not a fast,
I must savor the sweetness for a second
Then purge the past.
Evoke events and entice eternity!
Life is a road to discovery
And the way is never-ending.
No eyes have seen salvation
Because living water flows forever
And those who say "This is How It Is"
Are just afraid to swim.
Dive in and let the truth take you
Against the current,
For if you really think about it,
Life can be good,
Love can be real,
Even if you believe
in nothing.

Powerful
I especially can't get the last section out of my head, it has a natural flow that can't be made, but is just meant to be ♥
I'm...
...happy you said that. It came from a "era" in my life when I depended too much on history to find myself. Our experiences and past certainly have their worth, but I realized that if I didn't start getting back to the now, then I was no different than a memory, no different than dead. --Toti
☺
Exactly, if you keep thinking about the past, that's where you'll end up ♥
