"I WISH I WAS DEAD!" words no one wants to hear
said looking for attention or with genuine fear?
Is the person that screams this just seeking some help
or a last ditch attempt to convince one's own self?
If you heard these words spoken, tell me if you would
just offer your back, or a hand like you should?
Do you snicker, in comfort, knowing your life has flair
while another, is drowning, in a sea of despair?
Have we hardened our hearts to the world all around?
Is that how we step over those on the ground?
If this is the case then of course we feel dread
it's a given, for mankind, when compassion is dead!

I have read a lot of your poems especially this one and they are very sad, but time is a great healer, and you sound like a good guy, be strong for yourself and hang in there, things will improve.

Thanks for the kind words and comment. I agree that most of my writing is sad but unfortunately it's what I know. Thanks for the encouragement also and no worries...I'll be hanging in there for as long as I can.

Unfortunately we live in a
Unfortunately we live in a world that is occupied by many people with the mind set of--"If it's not happening to me, then I don't care." In these times, it seems that few people will pause to even offer a kind hearted prayer. The reality is, we live in sad times, and though there are many who do not care....honest, kind, and true loving hearts still exist. There are still those who will hear, "I wish I was dead," and stop to tell that hurting soul---"I'm glad you're alive." Very heartfelt write.
