Euphoria to mask the pain.
Shivers rippled outward from a touch,
A longing she did not know existed,
Visceral pleasure she needed so much,
An encounter she never resisted.
A needle punctures translucent flesh,
Self destruction to mask the pain,
Euphoria and filth it did enmesh,
Preluding a life sans refrain.
Pupils and rage systematically expand,
As it pulses within her veins,
Neglect, disgust, and hurt unplanned,
Smears on the lives it stains.
A vulnerable child looking on,
Forced to grow up too fast,
My childhood now forever gone,
Comfort a thing of the past.
My insides torn they bleed in pain,
I cling to those who are near,
A desperation to be loved, in vain,
This emptiness my greatest fear.

Your words are palpable… :(
So much pain is here.
Ubi vita, ibi poesis!
