The fourth of July is here again,
with bunting and bands,
and the marching of men.
With fireworks and parties,
with barbies and beer,
let all of the colonies be of good cheer.

The fourth of July is here once more,
with great celebrations,
from shore to shore.
From Florida's sunshine,
to Washington's rain,
from New Mexico to the forests of Maine.

The 4th of July is a day full of pomp,
with speakers and preachers,
or just having a romp.
Though when all's said and done,
I can see no good reason,
to celebrate murder and mayhem and treason.
