Shining

Through the space and time
that I cried
The fear and strife
at my side
Storm and light
in my eyes

I shine

Though the darkness
encroaches
Caught in a fuckfest
of blackness,
that washes through
my breast

I shine

but, what is it to shine
for that far away eye,
where I'm their starlight
in the night's sky...?

...I shine

To Shine

I really relate to this...to find the light even when it's dark, to persevere, to have hope even when things are bleak, this is true strength of character....and then to lend this light to someone else... this speaks of a giving heart...well done.

Starscapes

I think it's often to easy to focus on our own brilliance,
and overlook the infinite starscape adorned with
millions upon millions of little pearled white stars
gleaming far from and near each other,
and how their subtle lights shine, even
from great distances, even amidst
the encroaching black vacuum of the universe

nevertheless, all these stars, after being born,
no matter how much darkness there is, or clouds, or storms,
shine on, and never cease shining, until they cease to be...

Stars, the beautiful metaphors of life.
