Miraculous!
You finally managed to understand it!
That the preciousness of life can vanish in a second.
It's unfortunate it finally had to happen for a catharsis from you.
So suddenly you are embued with a profuse third eye view,
After your mother is about to die, suffering to stay alive,
When your whole life you had been blind to her strife.

Now your daughters just born newborn is the perfect alibi
To express all those feelings you try hard to deny
Like the creases of your permanent frown
When you smile in your mother's graying eyes-
The revolting disguise that she can clearly see is a lie

And even says so; making sure to let you know
That the warmth from your cold soul was a shocking surprise.

Upright and silent, you stand with guilt
Next to the sister who has been by your mothers side
Faithfully in your stead, as jealousy festers
In your emotional wound, which looms in the background.

And yet, there is no frown amongst the loving crowd
That surrounds your mother now, you're too proud

To admit how she was neglected and disrespected
Up until her last moments, and for those brief instants
You showed the love that you could never show before.
And of course, the facade seemed odd, to everyone,
And your mother too, who knew the truth-

That although she wouldn't pull through,
The person condemned was you; to a life of solitude.
