Coming To why light

There I stood
Watching as the world turned
That the skies dimmed
While we humans learned
That with the settling cold,
The sun would cease to burn.

Right then,
The night yawned awake,
With tears in her eyes,
Wrapping the Earth in her arms,
Reaching across the sky

With her show of lights
Magnificent in every facet
Streaking across the heavens,
As they shreaked.

So much so
That where there was winter,
So there was glitter;
Oh so wondrous was the Night!

The pretty lights danced
As they sang their songs
And chanted their chants
They were in Love,
At first glance.

So it was no wonder
That on the topic Death,
The cousin of sleep,
We hoped
With all the words unsaid..
That it, too, would be sweet.

And so I appreciated Life
For all the ways it existed,
All the ways it thrived;
Knowing full well
I could never survive.

Northern lights

are awe inspiring. Beautiful tribute
to a wondrous sight. I enjoyed reading.

Inadvertent

Seems to fit perfectly, nice imagination and viual. But basically what I was aiming to portray, something like life is a phenomenon :) Thanks Raskin.
