Amazed was the moniker
I'm amazed I was given this person
It's value is mine to ascertain
I could let it wither, settle, or thrive
still this body clings to me,
the world, to everything
passive, neutral, or aggressive
stooped in time
I maintain its want
I harvest its passion
as these eyes touch reality
like an explosion
that overwhelms the senses
I brave these fleeting instants

Inspiring
I like this, how you speak of the physical body separately from the spirit. It makes the reader feel as if they are inside, looking out in awe. One of my favorite quotes by Einstein is this
"He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed." ~ Albert Einstein
To find this wonder, amazement simply within our lives, within ourselves is a gift.
