Eleanor
The wind seems to whisper
The wind seems to say
"Eleanor, can you come out & play?"
Eleanor, Eleanor, Eleanor...
The children they go into the grass you know
So come, Eleanor, sit & watch the litttle ones grow
Eleanor, Eleanor, Eleanor...
The sun sparkles, the stars seem to chime
And soon it becomes time
"Eleanor, come out & play!" they whistle
And the grass begins to bristle
Eleanor, Eleanor, Eleanor...
Eleanor's playing again on her old stomping ground
We knew she'd be back as long as we stayed around
"This time," we beg, "Don't go near the train,
And maybe, Eleanor, you won't have to leave again."
Eleanor, Eleanor, Eleanor...
