Shallow Bay
Faithful love, take me to the shallow bay.
A milky way of tangerine dances in the sky,
the breadth of colour rosier than my cheeks of late-
just take me to the shallow bay once more.
Would you kindly sweep the hair off the floor
away with the jokes that I'm starting to shed.
Then, if you will, take me to that peaceful shore;
it's the place I have chosen for my ethereal rest.
Pass me the mirror to see who I am now.
Let me see where everything has gone.
The fading pink in my lips much resembles
remnants of a life when my eyes always shone.
My unbounded love, tell the kids Mother's moved on;
tell them she bowed out like their favourite song.
Tell them she resides in the shallow bay
the place they will see someday after long.
