oh so complicated
i looked in your eyes
at first glance i saw nothing
but then i looked deeper
and i saw an extraordinary thing
a lifetime's memories glinting in shadows
feelings that were too sacred to be revealed
past affairs with haunting lullabies
oh those eyes
i looked at your smile
feeling no warmth but only sorrow
how fake this gesture is
how pathetic a way to express joy
never had i seen you laugh
oh that smile
i looked at your face
from a distance you seemed quite different
still the boy i knew but not the same
i had read the lines in your forehead
i had heard your dominant tone
but nothing was easy to understand
oh for you and your complicated face

Good poem
I don't know if you'll be reading this or not with it being so long since you posted last but I really liked this one and I think that it's the best of all the poems that you've got here. Here's some advice: Get out those old notebooks and start converting those pen strokes to key strokes because I'd like to see more.
