Susie Sunshine

They called me Susie sunshine all the time,
I would smile and say that would be fine.
Skipping down the street
a grin for everyone I'd meet.

So funny they thought me
as I would sit telling stories to a tree.
My little brother sitting at my knee,
he would listen and clap with glee.

I couldn't help when someone looked glum
to put my hands on my hips saying don't be so dumb.
Standing up straight I'd smile
telling them don't worry about that pile.

Nice poem Susie
