A Sparkle From The Shadows

If we find our edges,
We’ll round them off
With our own shadows.

Shows us just yesterdays
This universe that pulsates.

Each pulse erupts like a bubble, abrupt.
And like a streak of light
Shoots down on the stretch
To lose itself in itself.

And in between
Lies the lingering moment of silence
That is always bent upon examining
The lightness of a remembered thought.

Where is that end from where I’ll simply return?
Where is that nearness from where I can simply go?

And in between
The lifting of the shadows,
I feel the pulse rise like a wind.

Far away the storm engulfs the hidden thoughts of my mind.
And my darkened heart, and learned experiences
Run away like frightened sparrows.

And in between
The meaning of life is so intensely linked
To the pulsation
That triggers a reaction within.
A mind on its own looks in.

Evolving, pulsating, swirling,
We move on in our own shadows.

And in between,
Plucking a sparkle from the shadows, I become.
