The Heartbeat

The thirst inside consumes me
as each day starts anew.
Satisfied just hours before
with the blood of just a few.

Hiding in the darkness
as the world comes to life.
The light I haven't seen
cuts through me like a knife.

As the light begins to fade,
the drive inside begins.
I feel the heartbeat of them all
as teeth sink deep within.

Slipping through the darkness,
unknown among mere men,
no one knowing who I am
or where my thoughts have been.

Each one that is chosen,
I sense the escence of their soul.
Each one that I've taken
brings me closer to being whole.

They all hope for eternity.
A place they long to be,
but after I have slipped inside
their eternity's with me.

So keep a watchful eye
each and every place you go,
cause' I can feel your heartbeat now,
and smell the escence of your soul!
