As I hurt and as I lye
Where are you God is what I cry
Unknown to me that He’s right here
To comfort me and take my fear
He lays his hands upon my shoulder

I see your tears when you cry
Knowing your pain i want to die
I wish i could take your pain away
And take you to a brand new day
Life's not always cold and cruel
