The day is long, my thoughts are sore,
Im sitting here, staring at the shore.
I long to be, in some different place,
A place where no-one, would recognise my face.

Im not trying to run, iv no reason to hide,
Iv built a good life, still alot of pride.
But what id just love, is to change it all,
Start again, before our fall.

We could have made it, been alright,
Back before, that fatefull night.
You blamed me, said you couldnt stay,
Always insisting, you'd never stray.

Then you ran, into his arms,
The other man, with all his charms
I couldnt cope, how could i compete,
You made ur choice, i conceded defeat.

Then you came back, you cried and lied,
You were fighting a losing battle, in my heart you died.
Now you are sorry, but to little to late,
Our time for now is over, the rest is down to fate.

Iv changed alot, these last two years,
Slept with alot of women, drank alot of beers.
Nothin iv done, has made me proud,
Sometimes i just want, to scream out loud....

You dont get, what you meant to me,
The days we spent together, how happy i could be.
