Alone

Hiding deep within myself
Hoping no one will ever find me.
Trapped alone on a shelf,
Sadly there is no key.
No one will ever bring me back

I feel happy here,
Yet always the sad comes to find.
I hurt, yet I cannot shed a tear.
No one has ever been so kind.
I am lost deep within

The world has led me through this life alone.
For how long, I do not know.
No light in this darkness has ever shown,
The light is my foe.
Leave me in peace

People save what is worth saving.
Why have they not attempted saving me?
I walk along this broken paving,
Why can’t anyone see?
I am scared
