Why so many tests?
So many tests that shes
so shamefully failed.
Tears streaming down her face
she hesitates to ask for forgiveness.
She feels too unworthy for such a thing.
She feels like a lost child,afraid of the dark
She closes her eyes,but the tears still come
and shes sill there.
She lies on the couch as if she could sink into it
and be gone from such worldly desires.
Now she knows how smokers feel,trying to quit
what feels so good
but what is undoubtedly bad for you.
She whispers a quick prayer,asking
the Lord to give them strength.
And if he can spare,some for her too.
From now on,she decides,things will be different.
She will be strong with the knowledge
that she is never alone.
