little deaths
Fighting sleep...
Night's velvet hand caresses
my face
Crescent moonlight illumines
my copper skin
lily
Day once so robust, solid
and real
lies still, cold and silent
on the bed next to me
All the schemes, dreams and wishes
cremated in the dying red bonfire
of the setting sun
a starry void descends
overtakes me
and
I
disappear
for
now

Starry Void, Visions Beyond
Dear Sonya,
Your poetry speaks volumes to me. I especially enjoyed this poem. Surrendering your soul to sleep is a spiritual undertaking, a blessing for the mind and body. The images in this verse are stunning. I love the fire of dreams, but confess that insomnia plaques my mind in this restless time we have entered. The road maps of our minds take us places, some remembered, and some hidden in heaven's library for us to know as we grow in the fire of the starry void.
Peace,
Kathy

Pray you are having a blissful day. Very happy you enjoyed the offering. Yes, I love exploring Heaven's library. Just 2 days ago I had a dream
where I heard a voice saying: "I am going to teach you Divine Knowledge." Isn't that wonderful!
Pray your insomnia is relieved soon. Have you tried any herbal remedies like hops, chamomile, skullcap, valerian? These are good relaxants
for the hectic times we live in.
Much Love
