Love Is In The Air

There I was
On gate eight
Tons of people
Running late

Between departure
And arrival
I was hiding
For survival

Half of them
They did complain
Running for
Their busy plane

As I stood back
To check my bag
A different view
I suddenly had

Between the people
On their chase
This was such
Romantic place

To watch the couples
Wait to meet
To fall in their arms
To finally greet

With extended arms
They ran
To meet their
Special someone

Bags got dropped
In arms they hopped
Kisses, smiles,tears & laughter
Followed by sweet words soon after

Some heart felt sight
I did encounter
Across from the
Departure counter

Before their love
Flew in the air
One long last kiss
A deep felt stare

Gentle whispers
With occasional tear
The world zoned out
For their love to appear

Each special
In their own fine way
I could have watched
All pleasant day

On airports
Love is in the air
An enjoyable view
To watch and share

yup

I like this and the way wrote it but always think of airports as being sad places for love. Maybe it's that scene from Casablanca. It gets to me everytime.

Thanks Neo

One of the things I like to do is observing people/couples...well departure was a bit sad but also cute hehe...and arrival was just a big love fest lol
Soni

aw

I hate flying so I don't even set foot in an airport(!) but it's similar with trains, I was seeing my aunt off one time and the place was full of people saying their goodbyes, waving out of the window...it was so sweet, just like your poem :D ♥

Thank you Jewel

...you are the sweetest :) Thank you for taking the time to read and comment :)
Soni

any time Soni :D ♥
