That you were going to leave;
I could have held you tighter,
One last time that night.

I might have had a chance to show you,
Like a sign post on the road,
That I was the only one for you,
As a last kiss would have been burned onto my mind.

The night before
You knew right then,
That you would walk away,
Silently awaiting the moment,
To pull your heart away.
