Does anyone see me?
And the pain that I live
Do they know just what agony rules
Just under the skin,
Deep inside of me.

Does anyone hear?
The breaking of my heart
Or the sound of my tears
With their melancholy sound
Of hitting the page
Making a lonely splat.

Does anyone taste the bitterness?
That lingers in my mouth
Caused when the thought comes to me
Of someone else in your life.

Does anyone sense?
The hope that I have
For even the smallest of chances
To one day have your love
Only for me once again.

Does anyone know that I pray everyday?
A selfish prayer just for me
That no one else will know my joy
Of that special smile from you,
And your heart that is true
For me and just for me.
