Fifteen years ago I was so lucky
To my delight to have been
Blessed to meet someone
Born in the spring of 72

On an April spring
In 72 Michelle did greet the world
And when she came
She brought with her
A heart of love and joy

Her smile has since that day
April 17th of 72
Brightened every room she entered
It sent away the gloom

Always cheering those around her
With her infectious laugh
It has never failed to truly come
Directly from her heart

I often wonder
Which came first
Her beauty
Or the flowers

The world must know
I have been blessed
To have just one minute of her
I will always be so thankful
For April 17th of 72
