Slip on the Passion

Somebody out there is lying in bed

Some stranger crying for a piece of my bread

Some lonely dog hasn't found a new home

Some orphan boy head knocking on chrome

Something's not right in the next neighbourhood

Nobody's doing what they can, what they should

Some throw in the towel while somebody tries

Nobody's winning, somebody dies

Maybe you're winning, still somebody dies

What change are they talking on TV, on radio

Pump up the volume, bro, can't hear it on stereo

Somebody's needing you, go! where you have to be

Leave mother, leave father, leave brother, leave me

Somebody's sacrifice, it's yours maybe mine

To reverse all these wrongs, pull the brakes, stop the crime

Just closing your eyes, you feel safe and secure

Real people hurting here, can't tell them "Endure!"

It's nobody's burden, but you make the difference

Maybe you first, maybe me first, we could take turns

Let's bring on some hope amidst struggle and strife

Start with small steps, they may save a life

Don't need no dough to change what goes around

Smile, bring God's love, let His joy just abound

Go tell the nations that life doesn't end

Help them make choices they can't comprehend

Bring out the blankets, send the next meal,

Change not political, changes surreal

Maybe it's possible, bro, you and me, then

Slip on the passion, we'll do what we can

Brilliant Writing

This is excellent writing. Thank you for sharing it. :)

~Turn Up the Volume...~

This poet has something to say!
Even a smile can change the world!
Slip on the passion!

I love your passion!
