Tree stump, full of charm
Of your kind, I've seen quite a few.
But you, tree stump full of charm,
Take home the prize.
We stumbled upon you
Our last trek through the forest.
Through autumn-thinned foliage,
Now visible to nature lover's eyes --
About three feet high,
Bright green moss
Growing here and there,
English ivy up one side,
The cutest toadstools at your base,
Weather-sculpted crevices
Where God's tiny creatures
Must love to abide.
Nature is filled with
Such objects of delight!
You've got personality,
Kid.
